Vlog 17: Making Trouble

The MennoNerds vloggers are making trouble. Or at least talking about making trouble. Within that broad scope, they hit on a range of topics including some early Anabaptist history, getting in trouble with government for standing up to the oppressive status quo, relating to family when you are much more radical than they are, the mass shooting in Orlando, whether LGBTQ people are welcome in our churches, disability theology, the origins of morality, and prayers to help us love our neighbours.

Event: Drew Hart, 400 Years of Getting It Wrong

On June 18th, Drew Hart gave a talk at the Germantown Mennonite Historical Trust in Pennsylvania on racism in the church. He used examples and ideas from his book, “Trouble I’ve Seen” in his talk and, afterwords, answered questions from the assembled audience. ┬áMennoNerds was on site to do a live video feed of the talk.
